When doing career research, you will want to use the major search engines first.  Then surf the governments website.

There are really good places to start your career research.

The three major search engines you will want to use are Google, Yahoo and MSN.

First head over to one of the big three search engines to do your research.

Next you will want to use keywords in your search.  Think of the type career you will want to research and use those key words.

Also use different keywords when doing your career research as different keywords will yield different results.

This of every word you can about the career you want to read about. 

Also try the same keywords at all three of the major search engines as each one will have different results.

All three use their own search technology when listing websites.

Also remember to surf past the first three pages to find what you are looking for.

What you can do is save the reach results to any place you like so you can go back at a later time to finish researching your results.

Next you will want to head over to the governments website.  There you will be able to find a good amount of information about the career you want to research.

Another thing you can try is buying the book "What color is your parachute".  This is considered the top book for career research.

This book will also help you find what type of career you may be good at.  The book uses some tests to help you find the career you will excel at.

Using the web and the three big search engines you should be able to a fair amount of career research.

There are many places on the web that should provide what you are looking for.

Just remember to use different keywords to find the results you are looking for. 

Last but not least is don't forget your local library.  This is and always has been a great source of information. 

Plus there are people there to help you and point out the books you may want to read.
