When looking for career information or advice, you have to
ask yourself what it is exactly you are looking for and
why. Are you looking to enhance your current career, or are
you looking for career information about a new career?
Either way you could use learning how to find the job you
want. It's actually very easy. All you have to do is get
the courage up to claim it. Then you just start by being
pro-active and going for it.
Now when you start there are a few things you will want
to do. You are not going to be like everyone else and
wait for the jobs to be listed in the news paper.
You are going to start by calling around and asking for
the hiring manager.
You see, you want to get to the person that will most
likely hire you.
If you can impress them, then you have a better chance
at starting a new advertising career.
Now the next thing you need to do is impress that person
once you get a hold of them.
You do this by showing them you can do the job. Listen,
don't just say "hey I can do the job". Show them by
telling them how you did it in your last position.
Give them figures and results and say " I did this by
selling to my customers and asking for the order". You
see if you can show that you are proactive they will
want to hire you. Remember it's all about showing and
not just telling.
Here's an example: If you had a friend and that person
just made a million dollars, you would want to know how
they did it wouldn't you?
Of course you would. Then would then show you how they
did it so you could follow their plan and duplicate it.
You would then follow their plan and achieve success.
See, it's a lot simpler then you think. Just use your
head and think and you will have success.
