good interview questions

I often get asked what are some of the good interview questions I should ask in my interview.  I start by asking have you researched the company?

People often then look at me in shock and say what does that have do with it.  Well, everything.

If you don't know too much about the company how can you ask any great questions?  So, number one start by researching.

Once you know a little about the company then you can start asking questions.  What you want to do is show you know something about the company.  Ask questions like where is the company headed.  You need to show interest to the interviewer.  This will show them you have vested interest in the company.

Don't just sit there and answer questions.  Be proactive and sell yourself.

You do this by showing you know something about the company and showing you can do the job.

Interviews are not an easy process.  Don't make it any harder by not asking questions.

Interviewers want to see that you are comfortable and can do the job.  Many will ask you at the end of your interview if you have any questions.

This is your time to ask some great questions.  Ask all the questions you can but, remember to keep them related to the company.  Don't go off too much about yourself.

The person interviewing you will want to know what you can do for the company.

So remember ask some good questions by showing interest in the company.  This is one of the ways you will help sell yourself in your job interview.

People love to talk about themselves and the things they have accomplished.

So you can also show interest by asking the manager some good interview questions.

Ask them how long they have been there; what is their primary role with the company.  Once you do this sit back and watch the flood gates open.  This should get the person talking up a storm.
